Who Are We?

The 50-50 Charity Raffle is a product that is conducted by the 50-50 Foundation.

50-50 Foundation (ABN 92 944 713 763) is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). 50-50 Foundation is an income tax exempt charitable institution and is required to comply with strict audit and regulatory requirements imposed by the Australian Taxation Office.

What Do We do?

The Foundation works with sporting organisations and their charity partners to run 50-50 Charity Raffles.

The Foundation’s mission is to unite stakeholders to raise significant funds for charities, causes and projects.

Our Vision

We achieve our mission by using state of the art technology to run 50-50 Charity Raffles for our partner organisations.

Our Structure

50-50 Foundation is a company limited by guarantee as trustee for a charitable trust. It is a charitable entity, whose objective is to raise funds for charitable purposes predominantly by distributing funds to other charities.

Its primary activities are:

  • fundraising for other charities; and
  • providing assistance to charities as well as schools and sporting organisations associated with charities; and
  • fundraising for community organisations and projects

The trustee of the charitable trust is 50-50 Foundation Limited, a non-profit company limited by guarantee established for the purpose of acting as the trustee of the Foundation.
The trustee must comply with the laws in relation to trusts in Queensland and the directors of the trustee are required to comply with the fiduciary duties imposed by the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

The 50-50 Charity Raffle was founded by John Corry and Ross Hayward. Ross is a Director of Premium Funding.  In 2015 Ross & John were awarded Brisbane’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Social Entrepreneur category. Marcus Gaffney

50-50 Pro Bono Director

Marcus is a Director of Trident Corporation.  The new face of 50-50 (often in Super Hero costume) Marcus is the all time aggregate top fundraiser for 50-50 at the Broncos.  He is also a 7 time survivor of the Burning man festival, Black Rock Desert, Nevada.  Marcus.Gaffney@tridentcorporation.com.au

Leon Bowes

Leon is the Founder of Apollo Property Group and Project Zero.  He is an accomplished Ironman, Marathon runner, triathlete and regular participant in Chain Reaction.  Leon still has dreams of one day playing for Collingwood.  leon@apolloproperty.com.au
